Es ist absolut resistent gegen niedrige Temperaturen und vertr\u00e4gt auch Trockenheit sehr gut. Sie ist selbstfruchtbar und bl\u00fcht Ende April. Die Pflanze tr\u00e4gt im zweiten oder dritten Lebensjahr Fr\u00fcchte. Runde Fr\u00fcchte von dunkelroter (fast schwarzer) Farbe, reifen Ende August und sind eine wahre Fundgrube an Antioxidantien und Vitaminen. Die Aroniabeere kann aufgrund ihrer \u00fcppigen Bl\u00fcte und der sch\u00f6nen Bl\u00e4tter auch als Zierpflanze verwendet werden.
